E te whaanau, e nga tamariki, e nga hoa, nau mai ki te paetukutuku o Kaihu Valley School.
Welcome to one of our online spaces!
Whether you follow us here or on our Facebook page, we’re glad to have you explore everything that makes our kura so special.
At KVS, we take great pride in being "small but mighty." Our size is our strength, allowing us to foster a close-knit, whaanau environment where every student is known, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
From vibrant classroom learning and outdoor adventures to our strong connection with the local community, there is always something exciting happening here. We invite you to take a look around and see how our big heart and high expectations help our tamariki shine.

Our small but amazing Kura is located in the beautiful north! We are 16kms away from the famous Kai Iwi Lakes! Our school history is rich so come on in if you want to learn more about us!
Our school Logo represents our tamariki being nurtured under the protection of Tutamoe and embraced by the Kaihu River. The peak of our logo shows our stunning maunga standing tall, protecting each and everyone of us! The small koru represents our tamariki on their journey; growing up and reaching out into the world. Coming down the right side stands our larger koru - This symbolises the tamariki and their support systems: parents, caregivers, whanau and the school community. The waves of Te Awa Kaihu are ever at our backs, guiding us and pushing us forwards towards a brighter future!
Ahakoa he iti, he pounamu! Despite being small, you are precious!
